2020 mini calves

We are done calving for the 2020 season.  We had some great calves from first time moms and dads. We are excited to see what they will do next season.  Thank you to everyone who bought calves from us this season.

Last calf of the season, a bull.  He is out of Bottums up and Podunk, both parents under 36 inches.  He was born September 29, 20.5 inches/22 lbs.  He has red spots but many of ours get more spots and more colors.  He was sold as a steer and will make a great addition to someones herd. SOLD TO ILLINOIS

Bull, as colorful as you can get. Out of Susie-Q by Podunk.  Born August 30, 20 inches/26lbs.  Super nice but was hoping for a girl.  He is spoiled already.

SOLD TO CALIFORNIA

Gina, a heifer out of Glory by Red-handed. Born August 2, 21 inches, 26 lbs.  I probably should have kept her but can't keep them all.  She has great conformation.  She has red points and white eye lashes!  She could get lots more speckles as she gets older.  She has great conformation. SOLD TO NEW JERSEY

A super nice bull, pictured with his mom, Pearle by Podunk.  He is going to be a very colorful brindle white park when done.  He was born July 8, 20.5 inches tall and 22 lbs.  This is the second bull from Pearle.  Her first is a great little brindle.  This guy has the personality to go with his looks.  SOLD TO OREGON

Pandemic, a great little guy out Fergie by  Podunk.  Born June 28, 20.5 inches and 28lbs.  He looked like a bull the minute we seen him.  He is thick and really put together.  He has red points and speckles but is getting black spots on speckles too.He should have lots of color by the time he is done. Both parents are very colorful. He would make a good breeder.  FOR SALE $2500

Bull calf, out of Pitch by Red-handed. Born June 26, 21 inches, 28 lbs.  He could turn brindle or at least at lot darker.  Great conformation out of all the Red-handed calves.  We kept one of this guys sisters back to put in the herd.

A bull calf from Minnie by Podunk.  Born May 31, this guy was 18 inches and 18lbs.  AND loved to hide.  He can go anywhere and hide anywhere.  The first 3 days he was gone most of the time.  He finally stays with the herd.  We have had 3 brothers from this cow.  He will be just as nice. SOLD TO NEW MEXICO

A heifer out of Sugar N Spice by Podunk. Born May 30, 20.5 inches and 27 lbs. Again, a little cookie cutter. We have kept one heifer out of this cow and wish we had all the others she had.  She is solid borwn, solid built and will make a solid cow.SOLD TO NEW MEXICO

Podinky Do, a heifer out of Indi by Ted. Born May 30, 20 inches/23 lbs.  A full sister to Podunk.  She is a looker for sure. She is really put together.  Her lace face really sets her off.  It looks like she is going to get some brindle.  A great little heifer that can only get better. KEEPER

A bull calf out of Roxie by Maximus.  This guy was born May 27 also and 21 inches/23lbs.  His chocolate points and awesome and he has chocolate roaning also. Hard to see in the pictures but he should get darker and even better. SOLD TO CALIFORNIA

A nice little bull from Sugar Bottom by Podunk.  Only the second bull from him but both real nice.  Born May 27 he was 20.5 inches and 26 lbs.  Funny how we are getting browns, brown and white and white.  We shall have to wait to see if that changes.

Heifer out of Punkin by Podunk. Smallest calf so far this year at 17 inches and 14 lbs.  Born May 19.  We took her inside to warm up on a cool raininy day.  Mom did great with her and was born in dry shed and cleaned off. After warmed up she went right back out and nursed off mom.  She is doing great. She is a fiesty one. SOLD TO CALIFORNIA

Mindy, a heifer out of Mya by Podunk.  Born May 16, 18inches and 23 lbs.  A great little white park color patttern with red points. These calves out of Podunk are like little cookie cutters, all the same frame.  SOLD TO PENNSYLVANIA

Heifer out of Kalamazoo by Ted.  Another nice heifer with a full sister from last year.  As good as last years.  She is a nice one with a beautiful face and just enough color. She will have black and borwn speckles.  Born May 14, she was 21 inches and 26 lbs.

SOLD TO NEW JERSEY

Francine, a heifer out of Frostie by Podunk. Born May 12, she was 19 inches and 24 lbs.  She looks like a dark jersey calf.  She is full of spunk.  She is very nice, very solid and well put together.  Another nice calf out of Podunk.  She will make a great little cow.

SOLD TO ILLINOIS

Lucky is a looker.  She was born May 13, she was 21 in/26lbs.  She is out of Snookie by Red Handed. This is the first calf by Red Handed. She is starting to get brindle and black speckles on her face. She is going to make a great cow!  Keep an eye on this one. KEEPER

Ithy, a super nice little steer. Born April 17, out of Sugar Plum by Podunk.  He was 21 inches and 26 lbs.  He may even turn brindle.  He is a great example of what we are trying to breed.  SOLD TO MICHIGAN

Sweat Pea is our first heifer of the year.  Born April 6, 18in/16lbs, she is out of Lil Shelby by Podunk.  The first calf out of Podunk.  She is awesome.  She even has white eye lashes! She gets better every day.  Her color is darker and more rich too.  She is a KEEPER
