2015 MINIATURE CALVES

We are excited about the new calf crop in 2015.  We are expecting calves from bulls like Hombre, Woody, Choncho and Tyson.

We also have a nice group of first time mothers calving in 2015. Our cows range in size from 32.5 inches to 38 inches. We have spots, speckles, stripes and combinations of them with a wide range of colors, tri-colors and wild color patterns.

Colorful cows bred to colorful bulls, it is going to be fun!

Calves will be born between April and August. Average birth size is 20lbs and 20 inches.  Calves can be weaned at 3 months old.  We try to add new calf pictures to the web page within a week or so of being born.

Our first calf of the year.  By Hombre out of Sugar.  Born April 6, 21inches, 21lbs.  A great little bull.  His brown and white color pattern may end up with some brindle by the time he is done.  His nose is red with black speckles so many times this means they will either turn a darker color or brindle up.  This guy has tons of color on each side.  Great Western Heritage conformation.  SOLD TO OKLAHOMA

CJ, a heifer calf. First of the year.  She is out KC by Hombre.  Born May 11th, 20 inches, 25 lbs.  Great little calf by a great cow.  She has perfect conformation and is doing great.  White with black points, beautiful white park color pattern, she is flashy like her mother.  SOLD TO MICHIGAN

Puddin, our second heifer born May 12th, 21 inches and 25 lbs.  This one is out of Vanillie by Hombre. She is going to be flashy. White with a couple spots and what should turn into a brindle hood with a white triangle on her forehead.  A common color pattern in texas longhorns.  She is a looker, marked just like her grandmother pictured on our Western Heritage page, about half way down, lying in the sun. Casey is a really nice heifer.  She is out of Kalamazoo by Hombre.  She was born May 30, 21 inches 21 lbs.  She has a great longhorn pattern that could brindle up.  She has a black nose so I think she could change colors.  She is the first heifer out of Kalamzoo.  She is a nice one.  She is a cutie. Snow Cone is another heifer, out of Frostie by Hombre.  I think she will be a brindle white park. Colored ears and a few spots, which I think will brindle up.  Frostie has great looking calves.  This will be one of the nicest females when done.  Her sisters include Icecapades and Snookie as well as Miss Fit in this family line.  A great family line. Born June 5th, 21inches/26lbs, she is a nice one. SOLD SOLD SOLD TO CALIFORNIA 

Carmel, another heifer, just goes to show you never know what color you will get.  Out of super colored cow Brindi by Hombre.  I was thinking we would get a loud colored line-back.  But still a heifer and I think she will end up brindle.  Just a couple white specks on the face.  Born June 12th, 21 inches, 26lbs. Pictured here on July 6th, she is starting to get some brindle.  I think she is going to finish out real nice.  SOLD SOLD TO FLORIDA

Linebacker, is an amazing bull calf. He is the first calf out of Icecapades by Hombre.  He was born June 16th, 21inches/24lbs.  Amazing color.  If he stays this color he will be an amazing bull.  He is out of a great family line and definitely has herd sire potential. Mr. Z, the first bull calf out of Jo Jo is awesome.  He was born June 18th, but didn't get him measure until the 23rd and he was 20inch/24lbs.  He is also the first calf sired by Tyson.  We would like to get a nice black and white herd going.  It seems to be working. SOLD SOLD SOLD TO CALIFORNIA

Becka, another nice heifer. She will be a very pretty blonde with black  brindle white-face.  She is the first calf we have out of Pickles and the first calf out of Red Hot.   She is going to color up nice a be a great little cow.  She is going to be a nice blonde brindle. Born June 23rd, she is 21 inches/26lbs.  She is going to be a very colorful cow.  SOLD TO TEXAS

Mya, is a great looking heifer out of a great cow.  She was born June 26, 21 lbs out of Millie by Choncho.  Her half sister Katrina is a great cow so we have high expectations for this one.  Millie is a great cow that has it all, color, conformation and personality. We are going to hang onto her for now and see how she grows out. NOT FOR SALE

Real Steel, a great little bull.  Love the silver color.  He is out of Pitch by Hombre. He was born June 28, 21 inches/25lbs.  He is solid.  Great, thick bone.  With some mother's milk, he is filling out like a truck.  SOLD SOLD SOLD to Iowa

Chester, another bull, same thing, great colors.  He is a looker. Love the black and white color combination.  He is going to be flashy.  Out of Vee by Hombre, he was born July 1st, 21 inches/26 lbs. This guy is full of it.  He hides out most the day from his mom, finds her when he wants milk, then runs like a banshee til it is hide-out time again.  SOLD SOLD SOLD TO MISSOURI

Medicine Hat Maddie, a super little heifer.  She is out of Shelby by Tyson.  An almost identical color pattern as Tyson but deep red. We are excited to get some calves out of our young bulls.  She was up and running soon after birth.  She is a sweetie. She was born July 6th, 21 inches 22lbs.  We are going to keep her and watch her grow out. 

Katie, another heifer.  Born July 14th, out of Snookie by Hombre.  She was 20 inches and 22lbs.  She has red points with a few spots.  Her mother was born the same way and got most of her spots later. She may do the same thing.  She is a very refined female.  She is going to make a great cow.  Her eyes are dirty but some color to her eyes, ears and legs. Another nice heifer. Big Tex, a really nice bull.  He was the big one of the bunch so far. Born July 16, he was 23 inches and 32 lbs.  He is really put together with a little white in all the right spots.  He could turn brindle too.  He is out of Sugar Plum by Hombre.  His breeding goes back to a mini longhorn program in Louisiana.  He is really got that longhorn look.  SOLD SOLD SOLD TO MISSOURI

Sid, another bull,  when I found him in the grass I was hoping for a heifer.  Still a super nice one. Could the the nicest one of the year.  First bull out of Sydney by Hombre.  He was born August 10, 20 inches and 22 lbs.  He has a real nice longhorn pattern with the perfect mix of red and white.    Both parents have brindle so he may get even better looking. Typhoon, another bull.  Would love a heifer out of this cow.  Katrina is a great cow, her second bull sired by Hombre. Born August 17, 21inches/24lbs.  Really put together nice. Looks like he will probably be a brindle white park.  A real nice calf from a great line.  NOT FOR SALE

A SUPER HEIFER, born to a super little cow.  SugarNspice had a nice little girl August 19, 20 inches/24lb.  Sire by Hombre is is really put together.  Up and nursing, mom licked her dry, what more could you ask for.  She is one of those calves that should speckle up some more as she ages.  SOLD SOLD SOLD TO CALIFORNIA

Another late heifer.  But a good one. She is out of Pepper by Hombre. Born August 20, 21 inches/23lbs.  She is colored up in all the right places.  She may be one of those that brindles up late making her even more of a looker.  She was up and bouncing this morning, reay to soak up the sun.  SOLD SOLD SOLD TO TEXAS

Punkin, our last calf of 2015.  Ended with a good one, a nice little heifer born October 8, 20 inches 21lbs.  This was the most consistant and even group of calves we have had.  Out of Sugar Bottom (35 inches) by Hombre.  I would just about be the farm she will be brindle by the time she is done.  She is a sweetie.  We are bottle feeding her simply to get mom rebred sooner so we don't have such late calves.  NOT FOR SALE
