Our calves have begun. We will calve throughout the summer with final calves coming in September. We are expecting 20 plus calves. We like to keep a couple back to improve our herd and sell the rest. We do sell out every year. We can add you to our buyers list at no charge.
We try to add new calf pictures to the web page within a week or two after being born.
Lollipop Born March 6. We bought her already on the bottle. She is a sweetheart. She has black points and a speckled hat. She is eating hay and grain and loves running in the yard. We are trying to get the picture rotated.
Vannillie Bull. He was born April 14. He was 22 inches and 28 lbs by Tyson. He has a great color mix and could end up brindle. If so, it happens about 3-4 months old. His mother has brindle but it is hard to know for sure if it will pass through. Vanillie had 5 heifers in a row and now this is the second bull in a row. We need to get back to heifers.
Maximus, born April 15. He was 18 inches and 18lbs. He is out of our smallest cow Minnie (32 inches) by Ted (34 inches). He was born backwards but is a fighter. He was up and drinking in a couple hours. He is pictured here at a week old next to a standrad round bale feeder. He was trying to get a rooster to play with him the other day. He has tons of potential. We are going to see how he grows out. Definitely a keeper. He could take us to the next level (DOWN!)
JoJo heifer, a super little brindle white park. She was born April 21 19.5 inches/21lbs. Out of Jo Jo by Ted. She also has some speckling. She should finish as a beauty.
Heifer out of Pickles by Tyson. April 25th, 21.5 inches/24lbs. She could be a twin to the heifer above. She has a great frame and is full of it. She is bouncing all over the place. She keeps mom hopping.
Bull out of Snookie by Tyson. April 25th, 21 inches/24lbs. This would be out of the same cow as Ted. He is a red white park with a few extra spots. He is a nice little bull. If you like color, this guy has it.
Heifer out of Bottoms Up by Ted. April 25th, 18.5 inches/19 lbs. She is a little sweetie. She has great color. A unique buckskin color. She is going to be a very pretty cow. She is a great-granddaughter to our cow Sugar Plum. She is a keeper.
Heifer out of Vee by Tyson. April 25th. 22 inches/28lbs. A very pretty black heifer with white markings. Just enough to give her some flash. Her mother is a great milker so she will grow like a weed. She will be a very pretty cow.
Bull out of Sugar Plum by Ted. April 28. Hoping for a heifer but still a nice calf. He is a red white park that could be brindle when he is done. He is colorful and small. Will have to see how he grows out. If he is half as nice as his sisters he will be a keeper.
Bull out of Rose by Hurricane. April 29. Brand new, a red and white calf. The first by both parents. Give him a day or two and he will probably be filled out nicely. He is a partial line back.
